--{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{--

MAIN ROOM artist bios and pics:

NAHA - DJ Set/djnaha.com

In her ten years behind the decks, NAHA has crafted her mixing style and technique which is as diverse as the genres she spins, including techno, breakbeats, digital hardcore, hip-hop, and jungle. She has found an amalgamation of these sounds in her specialty, breakcore. In Seattle she has held dozens of residencies, hosted on air and online radio shows and performed with bands Exorcismo and Black Pill Book.
Naha's ability to keep her style updated and young at heart, has won her fans from all circles. While most DJs that delve into darker territories tend to seperate themeselves from the more accesible forms, Naha has been uniquely able to keep the interest of people from all genres; making a NAHA party a banging good time!!

Jerry Abstract - Ableton Set/Fixelplix/Decibel

Seattle DJ/producer Jerry Abstract is a human dynamo. Besides maintaining a hectic DJ schedule (mostly around the Northwest), Abstract serves as creative director for the Decibel Festival, heads his Fixelplix design studio, and creates tracks for labels like Germany's Shitkatapult, San Francisco's Semisexual, Detroit Underground, and Seattle's Fourthcity.
When Abstract spent a summer in Berlin, it wasn't to chill. He worked hard there; when he returned home, his production skills had noticeably improved. "It's amazing what you can develop when you're not socially busy," Abstract marvels. "Of course, I was very influenced by watching and listening to other people's live sets (like Apparat, Phon.o, and James Cotton), and how they all constructed their loops/sounds to be remade for the live party environment."
Also while in Germany, he achieved a goal he set a decade ago while he was living in Detroit, by playing Berlin's legendary Tresor club. "The set ran for an hour and a half," Abstract recounts. "It was so fucking loud and hot and full of people!"
Abstract also performed twice at Detroit's Fuse-In Festival (DEMF) in 2005. Although he didn't get choice time slots like he did at Tresor, his Fuse-In sets inspired positive feedback and Abstract felt much pride in rocking his hometown among stellar peers.

Truckasauras - Live/Fourthcity

is Ryan Trudell ,Adam Swan, and Tyler Swan of fourthCity legends
Foscil. in this guise, they are pull out their Gameboys and Midi patching them together with real time use of vintage gear like TB303s, Roland beat boxes and analogue synths to create a fun stew of electro and melodicaly squelchy tones and dance rythms. Complimenting their unique sound is a video montage of WWF wrestling loops depicting not- so- subtle homo-erotic imagry overlaid with Monster Truck footage. Extremely entertaining and hillarious; but don't be fooled by their humor--these boys have a knack for intricate detail and nuance that one would not expect from such a playfull demonstration

FCS North - Live/Mass Mvmnt

FCS (North) is a live band, dj and production trio. “You've seen us at your clubs, your venues. We remixed your songs. You borrowed our records. Hello.”
Andy Sells and Joshua Warren started FCS North in 1997. Mune Yamakawa moved to Seattle from Tokyo, JP and has been playing/producing with Sells and Warren since 2001. Members of FCS have spent time in satisfact, united schach corporation, DJ’d as AMS + Mugfrosty & FSCS.
The first thing about FCS North to grab your attention are the drums. Obviously they've got a well-trained beat man up there, and that he's a hard hitter makes it all the more vital. Then you realize this isn't just another indie rock trio slouching all over their guitars and keyboards, trying so very hard to sing clever turns of phrase. In fact, the vocals never come. Despite the lack of an obvious focal point, FCS North -- made up of two former members of Satisfact and that pounding drummer, and pronounced "FOCUS" North, natch -- are one of the most riveting bands in Seattle, and you're sorely missing something if you haven't seen them live.

Levi Clark - DJ Set/Shameless

Levi's musical background started at an early age and varies among rock, electronica, hip hop, classical, blues and jazz. This up and coming DJ began performing music while still in his early teens. Only having recently begun to perfect his skills behind the decks, Levi Clark has already shared the stage with headliners such as Superstar DJ Keoki and John B. Today's focus is trained on electro oriented beats while also diving into breaks and techno. Levi Clark is passionate for all music that is “dirty” and makes people want to dance.

Major respect to the Broken Disco guys for doing a local night! Looking foward to seeing all the seattle folks bringing their A game. If Naha's set is anything like the time I saw her rip Rebar in half than she's well deserving of closing this night.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, that flyer is seriously the most rad flyer in the history of rad flyers. I yanked like ten on my way out of Chop Suey last Friday.

Pool staff asks that you also maintain a thirty-minute period between consuming food and entering the pool. Thank you for your cooperation.

Kinoko of the Fourthcity crew gets the props. I love having a different designer each month. Let's mix it up!

It's not very nice to make assumptions like that Spaz. First off, we do a monthly club night at a venue that can't hold more than a few hundred people. The party you're referring to is @ a larger venue, with a ton of popular, well established DJs. I would argue that we're the "ants" here. Second, this is a monthly that's been going on for 3/4 of a year now. In fact when we first got started I personally made sure to announce it on the promoters section...
http://www.nwtekno.org/vb/showthread...ghlight=recess

I'm just saying that even though a bigger party (which is probably going to draw from a different demographic anyway) was planned on our regularly scheduled night, we didn't go onto that party's thread to publically complain about it. In the future, please send me a private message if you have any concerns. Thanks & I truly hope your party goes off! In fact, we're done at 2am if you want to send someone over to Chop Suey to flyer for StarFire.

PS: I wish you could go too. How long until you're 18? We've had some amazing DJs and Live acts from all over the world. Some seriously incredible parties in that little space.
