Pushing the boundaries of dance music is something that comes natural to Sander van Doorn. His relentless attitude to what he does is the core essence to his astonishing success, both as a DJ and as a world-class producer. Production after production, show after show, his reputation is one of flawless measure, and the best is still to come.

In just 4 years, and coming out of nowhere, Sander van Doorn is achieving stuff dreams are made of. Debuting in DJMag’s prestigious Top 100 poll at 32 in 2006 and then climbing 17 places to 15 in 2007 indicates the power and popularity of this man.

Sander has clocked up more miles in 12 months than most, demolishing each and every dancefloor he commands over. New residencies at Judgement Sunday in Ibiza and at the Gallery in London put two big feathers in cap, and there are a few surprises to come next year. His ethos is simple and that is to please every crowd he comes in contact with.

If you haven’t heard of Grasshopper, King of My Castle, By Any Demand and Riff then you’re probably not in tune with dance music. Every van Doorn production of 2007 has sent tidal waves through the electronic music industry with Djs from a multitude of genres slotting his work into their sets. Radio play of all four tracks was guaranteed, as were high chart positions, reaching the number one spot on more than one occasion. His remix of Sia’s ‘The Girl You Lost To Cocaine’ is the stuff classics are made of, and ‘The Bass’, the first single from Supernaturalistic is speaking for itself!

And so as 2008 gets well underway and the release of Sander’s long awaited debut long player upon us, we find ourselves wondering where next for the boy from Eindhoven who properly grew up! With a mammoth album tour to complete a massive Ibiza, plus more festivals than sense to complete – there are two things for sure. Sander van Doorn is here to stay and you’re going to be hearing and seeing a lot more of him!

After years of hard work, Johnny has become one of the top trance DJ's on the West Coast. From an opening set where you'd hear a melodic progressive sound, to a peak hour set full of uplifting euphoric trance, he continues to push the envelope night after night. You can find his live sets being shared in online forums and airing on internet radio stations all over the world. He's had his own show "The Sound of Trance" on c89.5fm for 2 years running. His first episode of his new "The Sound of Trance" podcast on itunes has amassed over 11,000 downloads in the first 2 months of being online. And is now in the top 50 of all audio podcasts on itunes. He's now spending most of hs free time in the studio working on taking that step upwards to the next level. He's also working on a fully licensed trance compilation mix CD full of massive anthems, which should have a release date in 2009.

He's been hand picked to play alongside Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, ATB, Above & Beyond, Blank & Jones, Markus Schulz, Kyau & Albert, Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Christopher Lawrence, Sander Van Doorn, George Acosta and Jimmy Van M to name a few.

Some reviews from his first and only visit to Seattle back in 2006. People are still talking about that show as he punished Seattle like I have never seen before:



--Holy fuck, van Doorm KILLED the LSC tonight.. Hard fuckin tech trance all night. Monsoon opened with some great progressive and trance as well. What a fun night. I'm still drunk..

--Set of the FUCKING YEAR IN SEATTLE, HANDS DOWN! OMG I'm still in freakin shock, i'll post my review later after my funeral arrangements. Seriously, UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE!!!!!! Those who came witnessed the next superstar DJ to hit the global dance music scene! Still buzzed, ears ringin

--van dorn just absolutely destroyed LSC... goddamn that place hasnt been that packed since judge jules last year.... great fucking nite yet again.... thank u lsc!

--Damn! That was a good show! Thanks everyone who came for the good vibes and high energy.

--Ok seriously..... that was hands down the most amazing performance I have ever heard..... never has anyone's set pumped me to that degree (from start to finish).... my damn neck feels like I went to a Ministry concert....

--Sander Effing Van Doorn...... Ever since I stumbled across "AKA" and "Squelch" months ago.... you instantly became my number one favorite producer..... I went into last night with really high expectations for your live performance..... never expected that the set would just about gave me a goddamn stroke.... multiple times. =P My voice is shot from screaming, I think I have self-induced whiplash, and I had to burn that shirt I was wearing thanks to the copious amounts of sweat it accumulated (and I didn't even dance). In conclusion....inspiring production works and EPIC live performances aside.... you came across as an extremely down-to-earth, friendly individual.... It was a pleasure meeting you!! Good effin times!!!! Whelp… I don’t really see any point in going out for awhile, cuz how the fuck do you top that show???…. Seriously =P

--This night was crazy!! LSC knows its shit and knows how to do thing right!! Sander!!! HOLY SHIT BATMAN..WE BEEN WHIPED OUT!! He tore the place a new one!! I cant wait for LSC to bring him back again..maybe get him as one there residents...

--That was such an incredibly loud show and both performers rocked it. My new best show of all time

--really glad i made the trek up for this. my friends and i had a BLAST! super great tunes all night long. danced hard. svd rocked it for sure

--I pretty much never stop in the review section but I had to for this show. All I'm gonna say is that my prediction held true and that this truely was THE SEATTLE SHOW OF THE YEAR! Thank you LSC for bringing such talent! This guy defines good music over popular music and I was happy to see everyone coming out to support a DJ that doesen't compromise even just the slightest. He definately killed it, no questions. And Johnny, damn man you reminded me why you are the king. That La La Land track was PERFECT as was that Starkillers mix of Iio. Absolutely perfect opening! Must say I had a blast! And if you're listening, please please please consider bringing Randy Katana, Mojado aka Mr Sam, or Menno de Jong! I have faith that they would have the same effect as SvD! Thanks again J-Sizzle and LSC!
