The debut single on Darude’s album, “Label This!”, which hit stores in December of 2008, is the anthem re-make of Flock of Seagulls’ “I Ran” with surprise vocals from American Idol’s Blake Lewis. The album is a fresh venture into the broader more innovative reaches of the modern sound of Darude. This upfront perspective, demonstrates his cross-genre talents as a producer with the album encompasses progressive and electro elements, whilst highlighting distinct influences of breaks and techno. Lewis and Darude have also collaborated on the track, Darude feat. Blake Lewis “Selfless”, which the two donated to the global charity, Dance 4 Life.
Darude and Blake Lewis are preparing for their North American tour together, which will take them on the road in March and April 2009. We welcome DARUDE and BLAKE to seattle with open arms for UNITY!!
