Beat Affinity & Positive Charge: ~~|~|~HAKUNA MATATA 3!~|~|~~ SEPT 8th 2007 - SEATTLE
Here it is folks... the third part of this amazing series! GET READY!
VICTOR DINAIRE
Lost Episode / XM Satellite Radio / Music Choice TV / AOL Radio - NEW YORK CITY, NY
When Victor Dinaire first set foot in the club scene, he was unaware that what he just discovered would become his life's passion. Although he "was always into music as a kid," his excitement for dance music began in the early 90's, when he began throwing parties at New York City clubbing meccas Limelight, the Tunnel, and the Palladium. "It was great working for three nightclubs because I got a taste of multiple different scenes."
Driven by his desire to successfully break into the dance music industry, Victor increased his intensity by working Wednesdays through Saturdays at the clubs and spending the remainder of the week 'flyering' the city and organizing events. He submerged himself in the atmosphere, always watching and listening for what pleased the crowd most. "While the crowd was dancing and having a great time, I always observed the people's reactions to the way DJs worked them." Victor especially loved to watch legendary DJ Junior Vasquez during his late nights at the Tunnel, "it was from him that I learned to work a crowd by manipulating key records live and setting dramatic sequences."
Victor took on the world of dance music full-force. His interest in electronic music landed him a gig at BMG/Logic Records in 1999, where he did promotion for artists such as Giorgio Moroder, Gloria Gaynor, Danny Howells and La Bouche. In addition to excelling as a promoter, multi-talented Victor was also asked to perform on the Logic label, ultimately kicking off his own career as an artist.
Victor’s landmark first CD compilation, Logic Trance Volume 4, delivered a truly noteworthy beginning as a performer, hitting the top 5 position for three consecutive weeks on the CMJ charts and subsequently selling out. Victor's following CD compilations, "En Trance" on Bonzai Music Italy / Megahit US and Timeless Trance classics: Midnight Sessions, followed shortly thereafter by Morning Sessions, were all also sold-out successes. Victor credits Maiko Sakai for his success with the Timeless Trance series. "She was 100% behind the series and fought for the tracks I really thought are ‘Timeless.’ It was a great experience to work with her and learn how to put a compilation series together from scratch and promote it the best way we could."
This New York City native steadily set a firm foundation for his reputation in some of the biggest clubs in New York, across the States and internationally. As a regular at New York City's famed Arc NYC nightclub, Victor gained a devoted following, with the crowd eagerly anticipating his regular closing sets as much as the headliners. From New York to South Korea, Victor has performed for events such as Spundae, Gatecrasher and Godskitchen, and with esteemed artists such as Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Blank & Jones, Steve Porter, Junior Vasquez, John 00 Fleming, Sandra Collins, Nu NRG, Johan Gielen, Judge Jules & More!
In his most recent project, Victor partnered up with St. Michael and Kristina Sky in the creation of Lost Episode, a movement that uses all available forms of media on a mission to take electronic music to the level that more mainstream genres entertain. His radio show, re-launched as Lost Episode with Victor Dinaire, airs on XM Satellite Radio, Worldspace Satellite Radio, Music Choice TV, and internet radio websites AOL Radio, ETN.fm and Digitally Imported (Di.fm), and is syndicated on fifteen FM stations across the US, including Energy Arizona FM and San Diego. Victor's radio shows reach well over 60 million homes and cars nationwide, more than any other DJ in North America. Lost Episode also has monthly Club Nights at two of Southern California's hottest nightspots, Avalon in Hollywood and 4th and B in San Diego, featuring world renowned talent, such as the legendary Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten and Blank & Jones. As far as Victor's taste in music, "I love emotional music-something that can be felt. I love to give people a feeling like they have been to a million places when they hear me."
RHETWICK ANTHONY
Positive Charge Recordings - SAN FRANCISCO, CA
At the turn of the millennium, Rhetwick Anthony entered a musty, abandoned Bay Area warehouse and was captured by pulsating beats. He immediately began a love affair with all forms of electronic music and not long after bought his first pair of turntables. Since then, he has captured Bay Area crowds with an infectious blend of house, progressive, and trance. His sound layers together bouncy, driving basslines and subtle melodies to create a constant energy that keeps the audience grooving. From the first track, it is his ability to forge a connection with the crowd that keeps everyone engaged and makes his live sets truly unforgettable.
JOHNNY MONSOON
Last Supper Club / Eletra-Fi Entertainment
John Reinys was born on September 21st, 1978 in Seattle Washington. It was 18 years later that Johnny Monsoon was created. While working for a construction company each summer, John befriended 2 co-workers, Nathan Gray and Jim Way who were two local DJ’s.
Witnessing the power that trance music conveyed, he was inspired to showcase his talents as a DJ and began playing at clubs like Watertown, Deep Down Lounge, Noiselab, Mantra, Last Supper Club and Contour to name a few. Night after night he would seamlessly blend the tracks together and send his listeners on a journey through sound. He was then offered to play at the annual “Summer Celebration Concert” for XiL records which featured 15 bands and 5 DJ’s. He closed the show down in front of a packed amphitheatre and literally brought the venue to its knees.
Fast forward to 2007 and Johnny is Seattle's top trance DJ. He has opened for nearly every big name in the business including Paul Oakenfold, Sander Van Doorn, Jimmy Van M, Christopher Lawrence, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, D:Fuse, Filo & Peri, ATB, Talla 2XLC, Blank & Jones, George Acosta and many more. ALL WITHIN THE PAST YEAR! He will also be opening for greats Markus Schulz, Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren in the coming months before this show!
The journey has just begun…
HYPERFUNK vs CAMEO
Last Supper Club / Open House / Housewreckin'

SONNY CHIBA vs NYX
Beat Affinity / Webbwerx / Housewreckin'
For Martin Fischer aka Sonny Chiba, music is a way of life. It's been his first love, motivation, and muse since he conned the BMG music club at age 12. This love, combined with hard work, has taken Sonny Chiba many exciting places. Last year saw him headlining in Toronto and San Francisco, and this year his sights are set on Miami for the WMC. This expansion is fueled by the support of his hometown of Seattle, where he was voted the #1 most requested DJ in 2006 by the members of Nwtekno.org. It's with this momentum that he continues his quest to conquer the music industry, bringing a new sound that combines a solid foundation of Breaks, with a tasty mix of Hip Hop and Funk, and adding just enough Rave to keep the party rocking. Watch out for Chiba Guevara as he comes to your city, where he'll be dropping unreleased and original West Coast gems.
_____
Nyx (aka Jessica Pace) emersed herself in Washington's electronic music scene in late 2003. Her first party experience rekindled her passion for electronic music, and as she watched the DJ's doing their thing, she realized that DJ'ing was a something she was determined to pursue. In early 2004 she picked up her first records, got behind the decks and has been playing ever since.
Nyx found that the intensity and insanity of the broken beats were the sound that she was looking for. Her short learning curve, along with her enthusiasm, determination, and guidance from Kreeper allowed her to hone her skills in a very short period of time. Two months after she started, Nyx landed her debut gig in a small bar in downtown Seattle. Her style combines many different qualities of music. From filthy lows and complex drums beats, to some dirty funk and driving synths, as well as a more progressive sound with melodic nuances. All of this assembled in her smooth and fast mixes, as she brings more and more energy with her every time she steps up behind the decks. Its also not uncommon for her to switch it up with the pounding 4/4's and bubbly basslines of speed garage, or the grime and rawness of DnB as she flies through records during her set. She is something you wont want to miss!

With numerous mixed CDs under his belt, and a horde of other accomplishments, Aaron's journey is just beginning.
His unique selection of intelligent rhythms and liquid bass lines elevate traditional drum and bass to new heights and push the genre itself outside the box. Technical skills second to none, his signature sound of musical Drum and Bass is gaining popularity across the world.
Simpson has warmed up dance floors across the west coast for Fresh, Reid Speed, Ed Rush & Optical, Dara, Dieselboy, AK1200, Aphrodite, Dillinja, Lemon D just to name a few, and has shared bills with the likes of Andy C, J Majik, and Tech Itch as well as many other heavyweights.
