Kenneth Thomas is quickly positioning himself as one of the top DJs in Detroit. Continually striving for perfection and bringing progressive trance to the area, both have been his main desires. Acquiring the headlining resident position on Saturday nights at Motor Detroit, voted number one club in America by URB Magazine 2001, and launched Kenneth into the spotlight. Playing Toronto's System Sound Bar and numerous events in Cleveland have aided him in becoming a force within the national realm. In Detroit, he still concentrates on local club promoting and working relentlessly at bringing National as well as International talent to the scene.

An inspiring DJ, he says the following in his own words on how he got started in the music scene. “I was introduced to Paul Oakenfold's, Tranceport by some friends in San Francisco. Before that I had no interest in Electronic music. Two years later after becoming submersed in trance and progressive house music I picked up turntables.” His early influences include such artist as Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Sandra Collins, Sasha & Digweed, Dave Seaman and Jon Pak. These influences along with some great natural ability and fantastic energy are what make listening to “KT” so great!

In the past 2 years Johnny has been on a dramatic rise with no signs of slowing. He has quickly become one of the top trance DJ's in the Northwest. From an opening set where you'd hear a melodic progressive sound, to a peak hour set full of uplifting euphoric trance, he continues to push the envelope night after night. You can find his live sets being shared in online forums and airing on internet radio stations all over the world.

He's been hand picked to play alongside Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten ATB, Above & Beyond, Blank & Jones, Christopher Lawrence, Sander Van Doorn, George Acosta, Jimmy Van M and Saeed Younan to name a few. The world is starting to hear Johnny Monsoon's sound and this leaves us where we are today...

I'm stoked for this show as I've been wanting Kenneth to come back to Seattle and rock it!

Here are some pieces of reviews from his 2 previous Northwest appearances when he toured with Paul Oakenfold:

sad 2 say cuz i love oakenfolds sound and his production shit is like epic, but @ the show where he spun after thomas he wus a letdown comin after kt... thomas can rock a crowd real og style!

KT ripped 131 apart, and thats 131, i dont even want to think about how sore my body is going to be after dancing my head off at LSC

It should be up soon. I'll be sure to notify everyone when advance tickets are available. I mainly wanted to get this up early so we could really pack it out. I talked to Kenneth and he would love to get us a recorded set on MP3 so hopefully I'll have that this weekend. WOOT!

^ I saw the video on his Myspace page and thought it was pretty sick. It will be my friends first trance show and first time in a club since his 21st was a few weeks ago. Uber stoked and ecstatic for the mayhem that will be the KT & JM Show!
