Seattle Meet Qoöl
A new kind of clubbing invented weekly... by you.

It's not like other clubs. In fact, it may not be clubbing at all (Or is it the way clubbing should be?).
It goes down every Wednesday 6pm to 10pm. Are you ready to revamp nightlife? Are you ready to take center stage?
Are you ready to get lost? Find yourself? Discover music and people that were right there the entire time?
Are you ready to have some drinks? Qoöl awaits. Qoöl is you.

Wednesdays, 6pm to 10pm See Sound Lounge - 115 Blanchard Street Seattle.

Some history:
Qoöl originally began in San Francisco as function over form – in the early 90’s well know progressive DJ Spesh had bailed out of a high profile residency due to his refusal to play cheesy records (it was during this time that Jondi & Spesh produced their first tracks together), but soon missed the frequent djing. But with a full time job and now production work on top of it, the time just wasn’t there. The solution? Play records once a week right after work at a nearby art gallery. With only 6 people on average milling about the space, Spesh was definitely in it just to hear the music with his own ears (it is worth noting that at this point, Jondi was questioning Spesh’s sanity). For months, Spesh showed up each week with his records, sometimes joined by other djs, and slowly the audience grew.

Nowadays, what began simply as a place for Spesh to spin tracks every week on his own terms became a place for hundreds of people to be clubbers on their own terms. The patrons of Qoöl, known as Qoölios, know what they want and religiously show up week after week to get it.

Qoöl’s most distinguishing characteristic is its vibe, a downright great feeling that comes from a gathering of people are there because it's Qoöl, not because it's "the place to be". In San Francisco that vibe grown so that each night ends in a contained fury of waving arms and ecstatic dancing every week. This energy has been compared more than once to some of history’s most revered club nights. Most recently Jonathan Lisle of Bedrock had this to say of his encounter with Qoöl, “We walked in at 7pm on a Wednesday night and I had the same feeling I had when I walked into the Hacienda in Manchester 12 years ago and when I walked in Renaissance in Mansfield in 1992. The place was electric.”

Now the story continues in Seattle where it will thrive... because Qoöl is you. Qoöl Seattle is hosted by DJ Messiah and some of the best Seattle DJ talent. Weekly guest peformers spin short 30min to 1 hour sets to showcase the latest and greatest progressive, electro, house, and breaks tracks. Past headliners at Qool Seattle include Jondi and Spesh, DJ Eva, Dig-Dug, Dylan Rhymes, The Flashbulb, Nick Stoynoff, Funky Bad Chad, and more.

The theory behind Qoöl Seattle is C-H-I-L-L! We strive to provide a chilled out atmosphere where everyone feels welcome to come relax, have some drinks, eat some tasty food after work, and hear the best new tracks from awesome DJs. The DJs that play at Qoöl make it a point to bring the latest tracks mixed with some classic favorites for you to enjoy. It is all about enjoying the company of good friends in an environment that is comfortable, accommodating, and fun! The DJs are hand selected and true to form. They are the DJs that are in it for the music! They come and spin tracks week after week because they love doing it!

PULSE & NIGHT CREW PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS:

> Raised in Los Angeles, Joseph Gettright ran the streets of LA since he was a kid. He spends much of his time, deejaying and listening to music. With music influence from all over the world in Los Angeles, his style is a unique blend of many genres. Getting off to a late start in his deejaying career, (after developing his reputation as a party emcee and hype-man) he always rates himself as an underdog deejay that packs a punch. Putting together his hype-man school along with his musical selection, his set will have you dancing the night away.
>
> Having deejayed for only less than a year, J. Gettright was able to land a residency in Hollywood. Since then, he continued to develop his career as a deejay, landing him in top name clubs in Hollywood, such as, Les Deux, Avalon, Basque, Knitting Factory, Ivar, Vine St. Lounge, and Social Hollywood. In only four years deejaying, he has booked gigs in Mexico, San Diego CA, Phoenix AZ, San Francisco CA, Seattle WA, and Las Vegas NV and many cities in between.
>
> While working for LA radio station Power 106 FM, he has had the opportunity to open shows emceeing and deejaying for artists, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, Ciara, Mario, Dazz Dilinger, Three 6 Mafia, 2 Live Crew, Lil, Mama, Mims, Roscoe Umali, The FarEast Movement and Katt Wiliams. Along with these experiences, J. Gettright has had the joy of hearing some of his own song edits and mash-ups played over the airwaves in LA. Look for his mixtapes circulating around a city near you. He spends much of his time mixing and remixing songs so look for his mash ups being played in the club or remix playing over the air.
>
> Joseph Gettright’s aspirations are not only to host television / cable television and deejay all over the world, but to make music, develop artists, and own his own company relating to event entertainment and marketing / consulting in the future. He also has aspirations to play small roles in movies and television shows in the future. J. Gettright was raised in the South Bay, Torrance and resides in Burbank. With his experience and talent, you can catch this upcoming host/emcee/deejay combo running around your city in the near future!
Playing all your favorite old skool and new skool hip hop classics!
